Commercial Profile: Kelly-Ann Aldridge

Kelly-Ann is the Commercial Manager at our Lisburn Distribution Centre, which provides a wide product and service offering to customers in both the North and South of Ireland. Having been with the company for over 17 years Kelly-Ann has experience across many different areas of the business and she uses this in her day to day role to assist customers and to support her team.

What did you do before joining i1fun?Ìý

I graduated from Queens University Belfast with a BA Hons in Sociology. During that time I worked in retail at NEXT. After graduating, I was looking for some office experience, which brought me to i1fun (then Corus) in 2008, and I’ve never left!

What does your day-to-day role involve?

No two days are ever the same! As well as looking after some of our bigger customers in Northern Ireland, I manage the commercial team here in Distribution to ensure that i1fun maintains and grows its market share for the North and South of Ireland.

What skills and experience do you bring to your current role?

Customer service has always been a priority for me. I firmly believe that if our team understands the whole process from purchasing to despatch, we are able to provide a better and more informed service to our customers, and that trust is there for them to continue to do business with us. I have dipped my toe into most of the processes here in Lisburn, so I am able to provide the required support and guidance to the Ireland team as and when required.Ìý

What do you enjoy about your job?

The people here in Ireland are amazing! We are a very small team but we all take pride in our roles and work hard. It makes managing a whole lot easier if everyone is on the same page. Working for such an iconic organisation in the steel industry, and representing the company here, is something to be proud of as well.

What are your proudest achievements so far?

I am proud of my progression through this company, from starting in an admin role to now being Commercial Manager. I am proud of the team we have built here in Lisburn and the success of the site that we all play a part in.

What do you hope the future holds for you at i1fun?

I’ve only been in this role for less than a year so I’m excited to continue to learn, and progress through management within the company.

What advice would you give to other people considering a career with us?Ìý

Go for it! No day is ever the same so it will keep you on your toes. The company as a whole has so many great people who have a wealth of experience in the industry where you can learn lots of skills.Ìý
