Logistics Profile: Joe Bradley

Joe Bradley has recently taken on the role of Operations Controller for Shipping, based at our Scunthorpe site. He is responsible for managing the safe and efficient shipping of our products, ensuring they arrive with our customers on time and ready for their end use.

What did you do before joining i1fun?

Prior to joining i1fun I spent time working in both the hospitality industry and retail management before making a career move into logistics. I worked for 4 years on a Tata Steel contract before moving into the External Logistics team at i1fun around 2 years ago.

What does your day-to-day role involve?

As Operations Controller for shipping I oversee and manage the safe and efficient shipping of our products to customers. I am new to the role so my day to day activities are growing each day, there is a lot to learn, but it is a really interesting and varied role. We work collaboratively with many teams, departments and external contractors to ship 1000s of tonnes of material on each and every vessel. It’s a real team effort.

What do you enjoy about your job?

Knowing that our products have been used and will be used in some amazing projects all around the world is really rewarding. This can’t be done without the skilled collaboration amongst the different teams and working with some great people.

What are your proudest achievements so far?

There have been many proud moments in my career so far; my first supervisor role at just 18 years old, my first store manager position, to this year completing my degree, though my advice would be not to do this whilst training for the London Marathon!

Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years’ time within i1fun?

This is an exciting but challenging time of change for the business. I want to play my part in helping the business succeed and meet its ambitious targets. I hope with this comes a long and rewarding career where I can utilise my skills and challenge myself.

What advice you would give to other people considering a career with us?

Go for it, it really is a fascinating and challenging place to work with some amazing people. ÌýÌý
