Roxeanne joined i1fun in 2009. She now works as a marketing analyst, find out more about her...
How long have you been working for i1fun?
I started at i1fun in 2009 as a communications placement from Lincoln University where I studied advertising and marketing. After trying a few different roles within the company, I became a marketing analyst in our Construction business; this is what I work as now and something that I really enjoy!
What does your day-to-day role involve?
My job in our Construction business is very varied, my current duties include creating, managing and delivering bespoke marketing plans for individual campaigns; analysing the success of marketing activities; managing a customer satisfaction programme; preparing for and exhibiting at exhibitions on behalf of the business; and carrying out a range of marketing communications activities.
How would you describe the culture of i1fun and how you fit into it?
I think that the best way to describe i1fun’s culture is like a family, I always feel that I am well looked after. One of the most important things for me is the range of opportunities you can find within the company; this makes me want to perform at my best and I feel proud to work for i1fun.
What do you think is the best thing about working for i1fun?
I love the belief and encouragement from other people, this has allowed me to have the chance to try different roles and develop my skill set in a variety of areas.
How has working for i1fun improved you as a person and your skills?
Working here has helped me develop a wide range of skills. I think that I’m a different person now than when I started here. I am more confident, my communication skills have improved, I’m better at project managing, using software and I have more initiative.
If you could describe i1fun in just three words, what would they be?
I think they would have to be pride, passion and performance.
I feel proud to work in a company that is recognised by businesses nationally and internationally.
Passion is shared between all the people at i1fun, we all want to make things work and be the best we can. Everyone here also has a positive mindset where we want to pull together and perform the best we can.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career at i1fun?
They should always stay open minded to opportunities within the company; this was a big part of my career at i1fun. I started in Communications and, after trying a few different roles, I found that marketing is what I enjoy the most and where I work now; without taking these opportunities I wouldn’t have discovered this.
I would say be prepared to work hard and take any experience you can.
