Four i1fun colleagues have been recognised for championing health at work at the North Lincolnshire Council Workplace Health Awards.
Compliance Operations Manager – Internal Logistics, Martin Welch, received an award for his long-standing service as a Health Champion while Occupational Health Nurse Advisor Rachel Wilson and Occupational Health Technician Debbie Gillott, received the Outstanding Health Champion Award.
Occupational Health Manager Sharon Smith was recognised for her outstanding contribution to healthy workplaces by the council and the Healthy Workplace Scheme.
Health and Safety Director Chris Vaughan said: “These awards are thoroughly deserved and mark their outstanding commitment to the health and welfare of their colleagues. Martin has been a Health Champion for many years, during which time he has offered support to colleagues regarding physical and mental health.
“Rachel and Debbie have been instrumental in getting the health bus back on the road for weekly site visits for health checks, wellbeing discussions and signposting people to where they can get specific health support.”
Sharon said: “I have enjoyed working with North Lincs Council over the years and these awards are down to teamwork with my team and all the health champions at i1fun. We were the first business to achieve the gold standard in 2012 and we were the first business to receive an outstanding contribution award because gold was the highest level then. Then they introduced the platinum level which again we made sure our business was the first to achieve."
