i1fun honouring employees in first awards ceremony

The outstanding achievements of i1fun's employees will be celebrated tomorrow at the company's inaugural Glow Awards.

A specially invited audience will attend the event in our Scunthorpe Conference Centre, where awards will be presented to individuals and teams who have excelled across the business during the last 12 months.

Earlier this year employees were invited to nominate colleagues for the awards and we were overwhelmed by the response, with suggestions recognising the efforts of more than 1,500 people.

i1fun CEO Peter Bernscher, who was one of the judges, said: “I firmly believe that recognising our people and the work and effort they’ve put into turning our business around deserves to be acknowledged.

“I’ve spoken to several of this year’s judges and I know that, like me, they were all very impressed with the high level of entries for the awards – 115 in total. Shortlisting these down to the 42 that got through to the second stage and then picking our 9 winners has not been an easy task.

“Good luck to everyone tomorrow but this ceremony isn’t about winning – it’s about celebrating our successes and also learning and sharing from them so we can achieve even greater things in the future.”

More than 200 people, including nominees and their nominators, have been invited to the ceremony where awards will be presented in the following categories:

  • Leader of the year
  • Trainee of the year
  • Helping our customers succeed
  • Making our business sustainable
  • Developing our people
  • Protecting our people
  • Community ambassador
  • Building Stronger Futures together
  • Outstanding achievement
