i1fun employees will be helping to ensure families in our local communities don’t go hungry this Christmas with the launch of the company’s annual foodbank appeal.
Between 6 November and 8 December, employees across i1fun will be raiding their cupboards to help some of the most vulnerable families in our communities.
Helen Armstrong, Implementation and Resource manager at the Scunthorpe Foodbank, said: “You can never predict the demand for items but in winter the 3-day emergency supplies we give out always increases.
“So far this financial year we have helped over 1,300 people in the local community, a third of which were children.
“The help we get from i1fun each year is invaluable to helping the local community and with such passionate employees we know the donations received will go a long way.”
i1fun Deputy CEO Paul Martin said: “It is great to see the good that can happen when our employees work together to help our local community.
“At this time of year our thoughts are with those families in our communities who may be struggling to put food on the table for various reasons. Our employees never fail to surprise us with their generosity towards those in need and I’m hopeful this year’s foodbank appeal will once again make a difference to the lives of our neighbours during the festive season.”
In December last year, the foodbank received feedback on the help they provided to the community. One family said: "I was truly worrying about how I was going to face Christmas this year and then was given a beautiful food parcel. You will never know how this made us feel as a family and we are so grateful."
