Apprentices at i1fun will get the chance to see the old guard try their hand at some apprentice work as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2017.
Today marks the start of the UK’s 10th National Apprenticeship Week which is aimed at highlighting how apprenticeships can fast-track people into exciting careers with great prospects.
Heather Bateman, i1fun Apprentice Training Officer, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is a great chance for our apprentices to see how their apprenticeships can progress into solid, well-paid careers.
“Those of us who are going back to the floor have accumulated a wealth of experience since starting our apprenticeships; we’ll be passing on our knowledge to the next generation and getting a refresher course too!”
‘Back to the Floor’ days will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at our training centre in Scunthorpe, and our apprentices will be volunteering at Lindsey Lodge on Monday and Jerry Green’s dog rescue on Friday.
We’ll also be allowing our apprentices to take over North Lindsey College’s Twitter account on Thursday, giving followers the chance to directly ask our apprentices about life at i1fun.
We currently employ 180 apprentices across our sites studying mechanical, electrical and craft apprenticeships, including a number of degree level apprenticeships.
