We’re looking forward to 2025 when we will be supporting the (UKRRIN) Student Conference at .
The student led event will be held on 7 and 8 January and in addition to exhibiting at the event our very own Dr Stephen Lewis, Rail Technologies Manager, will be a keynote speaker and take part in the panel discussion.
Commenting on the event Stephen said “It’s an honour to have been invited to give a keynote speech at the UKRRIN SC 2025. The rail industry presents a host of interesting and unique challenges and hopefully I can inspire the upcoming generation of rail researchers to help develop the solutions for tomorrow’s railways”.
The conference has been designed to bring together early career researchers working at UKRRIN partner institutions, and beyond, to provide them with the opportunity to share their work with peers, and to build networks across academia and industry. Excitingly, this will also be one of the first academic events held during - the 200th anniversary of the rail industry.
Also supporting the event are Network Rail, The Railway Industry Association, The Rail Safety and Standards Board, The PWI, Furrer+Frey GB and Railway Challenge at Sheffield.
