i1fun’s Teesside Beam Mill (TBM) has been praised for the way it nurtures employees’ skills after being crowned a regional manufacturing champion at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards.
At a ceremony for the North East, Yorkshire and Humber region in Harrogate, TBM was named runner-up for the Developing People Award which recognises the manufacturer that has done the most to build skills, harness talent and develop itsemployees.
It was also runner up for the Innovation Award which celebrates manufacturing innovation whether demonstrated through product development or operating practices that have driven greater productivity, efficiency or business growth.
TBMPlant Manager Andy Williams said: “This achievement is testament to our hard working and dedicated team, and we’re delighted to have been recognised in this way.
“We’re a modern and innovative company and this demonstrates the valuable contribution made by manufacturers, like ourselves, to our region.”
