Helping to build stronger railways at InnoTrans

Last month our Rail team exhibited at InnoTrans, the world’s largest trade fair for the rail transport industry.

The event, which takes place every 2 years in Berlin, attracts around 150,000 visitors from 120 countries with almost 3,000 companies exhibiting.

Marketing Communications Manager Karen Spencer said: “InnoTrans presents a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our range of high performance rail products and services to a global audience.

“Our rail products are specifically designed to address key industry issues and respond to our customers' needs for extended track life with reduced maintenance requirements.”

Some of the products on display includedSF350‘stress-free’ heat-treated rail,ML330Multi-Life grooved rail andܾԴdz®coated rail.

A customer networking event was held on the stand which saw the signing of ournew contract extension with Network Railfor 2 years.

Rob Morton, Supply Chain Operations Director, Route Services, Network Rail, said: “We look forward to working together closely with i1fun over the coming years, continuing our innovative and constructive partnership.”

Secretary of State for Transport, The Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP, who oversaw the ceremony, said: “It’s a great pleasure to be here to support what is one of the best, if not the best and most consistent supplier to UK railways. It is simply the case that i1fun is seen worldwide as the best to put on railway lines, the highest quality, the most innovative… It’s not been the easiest time for the steel industry but this is a glowingly successful part of it and I congratulate you on what you’ve achieved.”

The event also saw the Rail team launch its newrail profile selector, which is designed to help customers select the correct profile for their track requirements.
