Roland Junck to be guest speaker at 84th annual LISI dinner

Roland Junck, the executive chairman of i1fun, will be the guest speaker at the 84thAnnual Dinner of The Lincolnshire Iron and Steel Institute (LISI).

The prestigious event takes place at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe on Friday May 5 and will see guests served a three course dinner followed by cheese and biscuits.

LISI President Richard Farnsworth, who will also make a speech, said: “It is a huge honour to be the president and I am really looking forward to hosting this historic event.

“It has been a key date in this region’s social diary for 84 years and it once more promises to be a fantastic evening.

“I am delighted Roland Junck has agreed to be our principal guest and I am sure all of our guests will be fascinated to hear him speak.”

During the evening guests will be raising funds for Scunthorpe’s Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Save The Children. Comedian John Lory will provide further entertainment.

The dress code is black tie, dinner suit for the men and evening or cocktail dresses for the ladies.

Other guests scheduled to attend include Scunthorpe MP Nic Dakin and North Lincolnshire Council Leader Rob Waltham.

Richard said: “This always proves to be a hugely popular dinner so I would urge people to get their tickets as soon as possible.”
