Our Construction team is investing in a new IT system, which will see a range of benefits for their customers.
On 2 January 2018, we’ll be celebrating the new year by releasing our Microsoft system ‘Navision’ with our customers needs in mind. The new IT system will be relevant to customers served from Teesside Service Centre and our distribution depots. Mill direct customers will see no change as they’ll continue to be served in the same way.
Gordon Hodgson, Business Development Manager Construction, is one of the team working on the updated system. He said: “We’re investing in the future by concentrating on the requirement for efficiency and value.
“Navision will improve traceability of the products we supply to give reassurance to the UK Construction market. It will also allow us to replace the volumes of paper we currently give our customers with electronic test certificates and invoices.”
Our customers may notice minor changes on 2 January in relation to the paperwork. Product labelling (to improve identification of material) will commence from the end of January.
Gordon said: “With an extensive distribution network, we’re committed to providing customers with great value and service.
“We’ll make sure the transition runs smoothly and will continue to send any important updates. We thank our customers for their patience and ongoing support during this time, and hope you’ll share our enthusiasm for the new IT system.”
