On track at Infrarail

This month our Rail team has been exhibiting our premium track solutions at Infrarail – a bi-annual railway infrastructure exhibition.

Taking place at ExCeL, London, the show hosted more than 200 companies and thousands of visitors between 1-3 May.

The show gave the opportunity for representatives from both our Rail and Construction businesses to increase awareness of our products and services, including the newly-approved 216m Zinoco® rail.

Daniel Pyke, Marketing Manager Rail, said: “Infrarail is a great opportunity for us. Not only do people get a real-life view of our track and premium products, but it also gives us an opportunity to network with other businesses in our sector.

“Exhibitions like these create an environment that allows our target customers to come right to our doorstep, allowing us to increase the awareness of our problem-solving products.”

We sponsored Infrarail’s On-Track display installing 2 15m-long track panels into the event venue to showcase our products and provide a real-life track situation to demonstrate our products. During the show, members of our Rail Technologies team gave hands-on demonstrations of the services we offer to help monitor and maximise our customers’ track life.

On the final day of Infrarail, our Consultant Rail Technologies, Stephen Lewis presented a seminar on ‘Technical Expertise for Building Stronger Railways’. Stephen said: “The presentation went well and I really got the feeling that I taught the audience about rail welding techniques and the issues in the light-rail industry.

“I also had a follow up from a High Speed 2 contractor regarding rail supply and weld approval for high-speed rail, which will hopefully lead to some opportunities in the near future.”
