i1fun's Rail team goes expo-tracking across Europe

Our Rail team has been making tracks across Europe over the autumnin a bid to promote our premium products in both existing and new markets.

Trako was the first in the run of events, and took place inGdańsk,Poland.Presenting our ‘stress-free’ heat-treated railSF350, wear-resistant and weld-restorable grooved railML330and corrosion-resistantZinoco®, Sales Lead Ross Walker said: "This is the first time we've exhibited in Poland and Trako gave us a great opportunity to promote our premium rail products and services to the Polish market - one of the largest in Europe."

Succeeding the Polish event,EXPO Ferroviaria took place in Milan, Italy and was attended by Account Manager Jérôme Bonef and Rail Agent Gianfranco Ionta.

Again, featuring SF350, ML330 and Zinoco,Jérôme said: “Exhibiting in Italy for the first time was a great opportunity to introduce the market to the i1fun brand and to let our customers know how we can help fulfil their needs through our local logistics facility, opened in Lecco earlier this year.”

British Ambassador to Italy and San Marino Jill Morris, whose father has previously worked for the former i1fun company in Teesside, visited the stand and said it had been a pleasure to meet with the team at Italy’s showcase for railway technology and products.

The following week saw colleagues from the UK, France and Sweden attend Nordic Rail in Jönköping, Sweden. Products being promoted here were SF350 and Zinoco, in addition toHP335, designed for improved wear and RCF resistance.

Account Manager Elisabeth Bremski said: “Although we’ve previously exhibited at Nordic Rail, this has been the first time as i1fun. It was great to meet with customers such as Trafikverket and Banedanmark, and we received good support from the UK embassy.”

Rail Technologies Manager Rob Lambert also took to the floor on the UK pavilion to discuss how Zinoco can help the Scandinavian market combat rail corrosion.
