An impressive new student housing development is taking shape in London with i1fun sections.
The London Borough of Camden is home to the largest student population in the capital and, to help meet demand, 65-69 Holmes Road is being transformed into a mixed-use student accommodation and warehouse development.
The project comprises the construction of a part 7 storey, part 3 storey building with 2 basements. The building is expected to be completed later this year and will provide 273 student accommodation units.
Our Dartford Metal Centre has supplied Designated Contractors Limited with 1,500 tonnes of structural sections for the project including universal beams, universal columns, and parallel flange channels–all of which were shot blasted, primer painted and mitre cut.
Richard Farnsworth, i1fun Managing Director forConstruction, said: “We’ve an excellent track record of supplying our steel into developments like this, one of the many London construction projects containing our sections.
“The team at Dartford were delighted to support Designated Contractors Limited in the construction of this important development which will provide superb accommodation for generations of students.”
