Top table for David as voice of construction equipment industry

Product Sales Manager David Waine was invited to represent i1fun on the Construction Equipment Association’s (CEA) management council for 2018, where he’ll work with some of the largest construction equipment manufacturers in the world.

He’ll be representing i1fun at Intermat – the international exhibition for construction and infrastructure – in Paris next week, 23 to 28 April. Our stand will be part of the British pavilion organised by the CEA.

An engineer by trade, David’s 21 years in the steel industry – 18 of them at i1fun – will stand him in good stead to advise the voice of the construction equipment industry.

David will sit at the table alongside the likes of Caterpillar, JCB and Komatsu as they all look to promote the industry. They’ll lobby on behalf of the CEA members for a fairer and more equal chance of success and actively inform members about issues that may affect them, such as legislation, changes to regulations and education.

David said: “I feel extremely privileged to have been asked to be on the management council and I’m eager to get involved.”

During David’s career with us, and previously at Con Mech, he’s learned a lot about the market dynamics and industry trends, which has helped him to fully understand customers’ needs.

When asked what he was most looking forward to, David replied: “Working alongside experts from other prestigious companies to help solve the issues and make a real difference to the future industry, as well as helping promote the importance of manufacturing in the UK.”
