A city dubbed “Manc-hattan” for its rapid development in recent years has grown further with a £ multi-million project that includes i1fun sections.
More than 2,000 tonnes of steel sections from the company’s Teesside Beam Mill, in Lackenby, has been used to transform the former home of BBC North West in Manchester. Bruntwood and Select Property Group’s Circle Square mixed-use development will provide office, retail and residential space close to the city’s bustling Oxford Street and Manchester Metropolitan University.
“Steel from our Teesside Beam Mill has been used in some of the world’s most iconic structures, and now the sentiment towards ‘buying British and supporting UK Plc’ in the wider construction sector is rapidly gathering momentum,” said Ben Cunliffe, Sales Director, Construction.
“This attractive steel structure has transformed a large plot, once occupied by the BBC, and offers vast retail, office and residential space in this vibrant and modern city.”
