Did you know there are over 1,500 steel fasteners in passenger vehicles, from the powertrain through to the chassis, steering, braking, interior and closures?
We’re driving forward and looking for ways to collaborate with our customers.
Our research shows thatÌýthe use of cold heading steel in electric vehicles is broadly aligned, in weight, to that used in aÌýtraditional internal combustion engine vehicle, although number, size, usage, distribution and location vary – we’re working with key fastener manufacturers to supply European OEMs and industry leaders with steel for the future!
Leon Manders,ÌýKey Account Manager,ÌýFN Steel, said: "At i1fun and FN Steel, we work with key fastener manufacturers supplying cold heading wire rod and processed cold heading wire for use in a wide range of automotive applications.
"We also supply the construction and engineering sectors with boron, low carbon aluminium killed and alloy steels. Our wire rod is available in as-rolled coils from 5.5mm to 30mm in diameter and can also be supplied drawn, annealed and/or surface-treated to meet your needs."
